Asia Market is co-hosting a culture talk in September in association with the famous Chester Beatty Library in Dublin.  Located on the grounds of the Dublin castle, the 68 years old Chester Beatty Library houses several manuscripts and rare books on various traditions from all around the world.

The culture talk is organised as part of celebrating the Chinese mid-autumn festival. Lei Xue, an expert herbalist and licensed acupuncturist will deliver a talk on the subject ‘Chinese Food as Medicine’ at the Library on September 30.

Lei’s speech will include the topics like yin and yang in food, specific food items which can act as a cure for certain diseases and so on. She will also narrate how Chinese herbal medicine can make use of the appearance of the tongue in diagnosing a disease.
