Banana Blossom Paella Recipe
Portions
Serves 5 people
Ingredients:
- 500ml veggie stock
- Turmeric
- 1 Onion
- 3 Cloves Garlic
- 1 Red bell pepper
- 1 can Nature's Charm Banana Blossom
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika powder
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 200g rice
- 50g corn
- wakame
- 50g frozen peas

Method
- Step 1: Prepare 500ml veggie stock, add 1/2 tsp turmeric to it.
- Step 2: Cut up the onion and the garlic into small pieces.
- Step 3: Cut one red bell pepper into stripes.
- Step 4: Drain the banana blossom
- Step 5: Add a little water to a hot pan and fry the onion until translucent, season with black pepper, basil and smoked paprika powder.
- Step 6: Tear the banana blossom into little pieces while adding them to the pan, add 1tsp soy sauce and stir.
- Step 7: Add the bell pepper and garlic
- Step 8: Add the rice to the pan and stir-fry for about a minute while adding corn and cut up wakame for the 'fish' flavour.
- Step 9: Pour the veggie stock into the pan along with 80ml tomato sauce. Put the lid on top and let simmer on medium heat.
- Step 10: When all the liquid has soaked up, add the peas, cover the pan with a lid again and let the paella rest for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Step 9: Serve with some lemon drizzle
