Method

  • Step 1: Prepare 500ml veggie stock, add 1/2 tsp turmeric to it.
  • Step 2: Cut up the onion and the garlic into small pieces.
  • Step 3: Cut one red bell pepper into stripes.
  • Step 4: Drain the banana blossom
  • Step 5: Add a little water to a hot pan and fry the onion until translucent, season with black pepper, basil and smoked paprika powder.
  • Step 6: Tear the banana blossom into little pieces while adding them to the pan, add 1tsp soy sauce and stir.
  • Step 7: Add the bell pepper and garlic
  • Step 8: Add the rice to the pan and stir-fry for about a minute while adding corn and cut up wakame for the 'fish' flavour.
  • Step 9: Pour the veggie stock into the pan along with 80ml tomato sauce. Put the lid on top and let simmer on medium heat.
  • Step 10: When all the liquid has soaked up, add the peas, cover the pan with a lid again and let the paella rest for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Step 9: Serve with some lemon drizzle
