Festive Crispy Sausage Wontons with a cranberry hoisin dipping sauce
Makes 20-30 wontons
Ingredients:
- 1 packet of wonton wrappers
- 220g sausage meat
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1tbsp wholegrain mustard
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1tsp sesame oil
- 5tbsp of tomato relish
- Oil for shallow frying
Dipping Sauce Ingredients:
- 2 tsp cranberry sauce
- 1 tsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp light soy sauce
- 1tsp honey
Method:

In a bowl, mix together the sausage meat, hoisin sauce, mustard, honey, oyster sauce and sesame oil.

To wrap the wonton, on a plate or flat surface, add 1 tsp of sausage mixture, 1/2 tsp of tomato relish, line one part of the edge with water and fold over to make a triangle and the crimp the edges together.

In a small pot, heat some oil ( approximately 1 1/2 inch height of your pot). When the oil is hot, add the wonton to it and shallow fry them on both sides on medium heat for about 5- 8 until they are golden brown.

To make the dipping sauce, mix all ingredients together and ready to serve.
Notes:
You can make these wontons ahead of time before your guests arrive and reheat in your air fryer or oven before serving.
