Soju Mule (3:1 ginger beer: Soju)

Ingredients
  • 50ml Soju

  • 150ml Ginger Beer

  • 2 limes (per drink) (a slice of lime reserved for garnish)

  • Fresh Thai Basil

  • Fresh Ginger
  • Ice

  • Optional fresh mint & ginger garnish

 

Method

Step 1:Start by juicing 2 fresh limes directly into the glass

Step 2:Then, add 50ml Soju

Step 3:Next, chill the drink and add a handful of ice,  for 20-30 secs

Step 4:Top up with 150 ml ginger beer  

Step 5:To serve, use fresh Thai Basil as garnish (optional fresh mint & ginger)

Note: Made in the glass it's served in, so no waste and no shaker needed

 

 

Yaku Chika
Ingredients
  • 50ml Hakutsuru Chika Sake

  • 65ml Yakult

  • 100ml Hata Ramune (strawberry)

  • Ice

  • Optional fresh strawberry garnish

 

Method

Step 1: Pour 50ml of Chika Sake Cup and 1 carton of Yakult

Step 2: Then, add a handful of ice

Step 3: Put the lid on and shake for 20-30 secs

Step 4:Top up with 150 ml ginger beer  

Step 5:To serve, pour it into a highball glass and top up with an approx. 100ml Strawberry Soda

Note: Can be made in the glass it's served in and topped up

 

One is a classic cocktail, a fiery Mule that already uses vodka and Soju is not dissimilar in style, so fits nicely. The other one is a creamy, strawberry drink, sort-of a twist on a snowball except with a berry flavour and a vibrant pink colour (hopefully!). We got inspired by the pink colouring of the character on the label!
