Vegan Sticky Rice Recipe
Ingredients
- 900g sticky rice

10g ginger (minced)

5 pcs dried Shiitake mushroom (soaked and thickly sliced)

50g fried garlic (optional)

300ml soaked mushroom water
- 60g tomato sauce
- 50g miso
Seasoning:
- 4 tsps soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp ground white pepper
- 2 tbsps vegetarian oyster sauce
- 10g mirin
- Chef's Choice Satay Sauce
Method
Step 1: Soak sticky rice for 4 hours, then pour the water out and steam for 30 minutes.
Step 2:Heat oil in a pan and stir-fry sliced shiitake mushroom and minced ginger until aromatic.
Step 3: Add fried garlic (optional), water, soaked mushroom water and boil for 10 minutes, set aside.
Step 4: Pan-fry diced peppers until aromatic, then mix well with tomato sauce and miso. Add water, sugar and mirin, then cook until thickens. Blend the mixture into smooth paste.
Step 5: Mix the steamed sticky rice with sesame oil and the paste, then steam it for another 30 minutes. Ready to Serve.
