Salad Ingredients:
- Daikon (aka White Radish) – Approximately 3 inch piece peeled
- Carrot – Approximately 3 inch piece
- Black Sesame Seeds - 1 Tbsp
- Dried Bonito Flakes – 2 Tbsp (optional)
- Ikura (also known as Salmon Roe) – 2 Tbsp (optional)
Japanese Dressing Ingredients:
- Citrus Seasoned Soy Sauce – 2 Tbsp
- Sesame Oil – 1 Tbsp
- Rice Vinegar – 1 Tbsp
- Granulated Sugar – ¼ tsp
Method
- Step 1: Shred the White Radish & Carrot into fine pieces
- Step 2: Soak the shredded white radish & carrot in cold water for 5-10 minutes
- Step 3: Combine all the Japanese Dressing ingredients and mix well
- Step 4: Put the shredded white radish & carrot in a large bowl. Pour the Japanese Dressing into the salad and mix well
- Step 5: Sprinkle the Black Sesame Seeds, Dried Bonito Flakes and Ikura (Salmon Roe). The Salad is ready to serve.
