General Tso's Sweet and Spicy King Prawns Recipe
Portion for 4 people
Ingredients

400g Raw peeled and deveined Medium Sized King Prawns
-
4 tbsp cornstarch
-
Salt and White Pepper
-
1 tsp finely chopped Garlic
-
1 tsp finely chopped ginger
-
2 stalks spring onions finely chopped
-
1 tsp of roasted white sesame seeds
Sauce
-
1 tbsp of Light Soy Sauce
-
2 tbsp Worchester sauce (bulldog brand)
-
2 tbsp OK sauce
-
2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
-
1 tbsp White Rice Vinegar
- 1 tsp hoisin sauce
Steps
Step 1: Into a bowl, combine all the ingredients to make the sauce and whisk well.
Step 2: In another bowl, season the prawns with salt and white pepper. Add the cornflour and mix well to combine.
Step 3: Heat a pan 2inches deep with oil. Once the oil is hot, add the floured prawns and fry for 4-5 mins until they are cooked and crispy on both sides. Set aside on a plate.
Step 4: In a heated pan, add some oil and fry the chopped garlic and ginger for 1min. Add the premixed sauce and then add the prawns and spring onions. Transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with some roasted sesame seeds. Ready to serve with rice or noodles.
