How to use?
This Healthy Asian Cooking Bundle is designed to help you create a variety of nutritious, flavourful Asian dishes. Here's a guide to using the ingredients in the bundle for different meals:
Miso Soup with Tofu and Enoki Mushrooms
Ingredients:
Miso Paste (1-2 tbsp)
Silken Tofu (cut into small cubes)
Enoki Mushrooms
WELL PAC Dashi Kombu (to make dashi broth)
Water (for the broth)
Instructions:
Soak a small piece of WELL PAC Dashi Kombu in water for 30 minutes, then bring it to a gentle simmer to extract the flavour. Remove the kombu after 5 minutes.
Dissolve 1-2 tablespoons of Miso Paste in the dashi broth.
Add cubes of Silken Tofu and Enoki Mushrooms to the broth and let them heat for 2-3 minutes.
Serve hot as a nutritious starter or main dish.
Stir-Fried Choi Sum or Pak Choi with Tamari Sauce
Ingredients:
Choi Sum or Pak Choi (500g, fresh)
Kikkoman Tamari (2 tbsp)
Garlic (optional)
Oil (for stir-frying)
Instructions:
Wash and chop the Choi Sum or Pak Choi into bite-sized pieces.
Heat oil in a pan and add garlic for flavour.
Add the greens to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
Drizzle with Kikkoman Tamari and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until tender.
Serve as a side dish with rice or noodles.
Red Cargo Rice Bowl with Tofu and Vegetables
Ingredients:
Red Cargo Rice (1 cup, rinsed)
Silken Tofu (grilled or pan-fried)
Choi Sum or Pak Choi (fresh)
Kikkoman Tamari (for seasoning)
Instructions:
Cook 1 cup of Red Cargo Rice according to package instructions (usually about 40-45 minutes).
While the rice is cooking, grill or pan-fry cubes of Silken Tofu until golden.
Stir-fry the Choi Sum or Pak Choi as above.
Serve the cooked rice in a bowl, topped with tofu and stir-fried greens. Drizzle with a bit of Tamari for added flavour.
Shirataki (Konjac) Noodle Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
ISHIBASHIYA Nobegata Ita Konnyaku Shirataki (180g)
Kikkoman Tamari (for seasoning)
Enoki Mushrooms
Oil (for stir-frying)
Instructions:
Rinse and drain the Shirataki Noodles.
Heat oil in a pan and stir-fry Enoki Mushrooms for 2 minutes.
Add the Shirataki Noodles and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
Season with Kikkoman Tamari and serve hot.
Pho with Rice Noodles, Enoki Mushrooms, and Fresh Herbs
Cook the Rice Noodles according to the package instructions (usually about 3-5 minutes in boiling water).
Heat broth or water in a separate pot, and add Enoki Mushrooms to simmer for 2 minutes.
Drain the noodles and add them to the broth.
Garnish with fresh basil, coriander, and mint.
Drizzle with Tamari for extra flavour and serve.
General Cooking Tips:
Miso Paste can be used as a base for soups, dressings, or marinades. Always dissolve miso in warm (not boiling) water to preserve its nutrients.
Tamari is a gluten-free soy sauce alternative that can be used for stir-frying, dipping, or seasoning.
Red Cargo Rice takes longer to cook than white rice, so plan accordingly, but it's packed with more nutrients.
Shirataki Noodles are best when rinsed thoroughly before cooking to remove any residual flavour from the konjac root.
