Salt

Salt is chemically known as Sodium Chloride. As a condiment which is universally employed in cooking, the most common name for salt is table salt, or simply common salt. Salt is mostly made from seawater, and hence natural sea salt is the most widely found type. Salt is a source of iodine and minerals. It is of great use not only in Asian cooking, but everywhere across the world.
