Shoyu is the Japanese name for soya sauce which is made of soya beans and wheat. Meridian Shoyu Saoya sauce is full-bodied, which is made from whole soya beans and not chemically processed soya meal. The presence of wheat gives the Japanese shoyu a subtle sweet flavour. Just like normal soya sauce, Meridian shoyu also features a dark colour, as they are made of fermented soya beans.
It is ideal in the kitchen as a savoury seasoning in stews,soups,dips and dressings or on the table as a tasty condiment which enhances the taste and flavour of many foods. It is totally natural and contains no artificial additives or preservatives.
