Tapioca

Tapioca is the starch derived from cassava roots. Though cassava is of Brazilian origin, it later spread to Asia and America. Now tapioca flour is a significant product in Asian cuisines. The tapioca starch is a great thickening agent used in several food dishes in Asian countries. Tapioca is a staple food in South Indian states.
