Ingredients:
- Chef's Choice Young Green Jackfruit - 1 can
- Shallot (diced) - 1
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Apple Cider vinegar - 2 tbsp
- Salt and pepper to taste
BBQ Sauce Ingredients
- Smoked paprika - 2 tsp
- Soy sauce - 4 tbsp
- Maple syrup - 2 tbsp
- tomato puree - 2 tbsp
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Apple cider vinegar - 2 tbsp
- Water - 4 tbsp
Order Ingredients
Method
- Step 1: Mix all ingredients and set aside.
- Step 2:Drain and pull jackfruits apart into shreds by hand, and set them aside.
- Step 3: In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
- Step 4: Add the minced garlic, diced shallot and saute for 3 minutes, until softened.
- Step 5: Add the jackfruit and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
- Step 6: Reduce heat to low, add the homemade barbecue sauce and mix until well combined.
*Serve in a bread roll with your favorite vegetables.
