barbecue pulled jackfruit burger recipe

Ingredients:

BBQ Sauce Ingredients
  • Smoked paprika - 2 tsp
  • Soy sauce - 4 tbsp
  • Maple syrup - 2 tbsp
  • tomato puree - 2 tbsp
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Apple cider vinegar - 2 tbsp
  • Water - 4 tbsp

Method

  • Step 1: Mix all ingredients and set aside.
  • Step 2:Drain and pull jackfruits apart into shreds by hand, and set them aside.
  • Step 3: In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
  • Step 4: Add the minced garlic, diced shallot and saute for 3 minutes, until softened.
  • Step 5: Add the jackfruit and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 6: Reduce heat to low, add the homemade barbecue sauce and mix until well combined.

*Serve in a bread roll with your favorite vegetables.
