Method

  • Step 1: In a pot of hot water, put the Chicken Wings in and blanch for 3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Step 2: To Prepare the Sauce, mix the Light Soy Sauce, Dark Soy Sauce, Chinese Cooking Wine, Water and Brown Sugar together.
  • Step 3: Add the Oil in a pan on medium heat. Add Ginger, Garlic and fry until fragrant.
  • Step 4: Add Chicken Wings to the pan and fry for 2 minutes. Then add the Sauce that we made in Step 2 and Star Anise. Mix well.
  • Step 5: Cover the pan with a lid and turn to medium low heat. Cook until the sauce is absorbed by the Chicken Wings and becomes thickened. It is ready to serve.
